Fusion Bond epoxy corrugated liner tank

FUSION BOND EPOXY CORRUGATED TANKS (liner tank)

Rostfrei Fusion Bond Epoxy Corrugated Tanks indeed represent a significant advancement in coating technology, especially for tank steel structures intended for various liquid storage purposes.

The baking technology of epoxy coat in tanks is to enhance the properties of steel for a better life performance. Steel, when exposed to corrosive environments, is prone to degradation over time. The epoxy coating acts as a barrier, shielding the steel from corrosive elements present in the atmosphere or in the stored liquids. This versatility is particularly beneficial for storage applications involving liquids with varying pH levels, ensuring the tank’s resilience in a broader spectrum of conditions.

Fusion Bond Epoxy Corrugated Tanks can be used to store wide range of liquids like clear water, waste water, organic waste, edible oil etc.

PROCESS & TECHNOLOGY

tank

Preparation of Tank Panels/Sheets: Before applying the epoxy coating, the tank panels or sheets undergo pre-treatment line for the surface preparation to ensure good adhesion of the coating.

Fusion-Process

Fusion Process:s: The fusion process involves applying the epoxy coating inside & outside to the tank panels or sheets. This is typically done using a spraying chamber.

Heat-Furnace

Heat Furnace: The coated tank panels or sheets are then subjected to pre heat & post heat treatment in a special furnace. This furnace has a controlled environment to ensure uniform heating and proper curing of the epoxy coating.

Pre-Heating

Pre-Heating: The first stage of the heat treatment involves pre-heating the coated panels or sheets. This is done at temperatures ranging from 200 to 400 degrees Celsius.

Post-Baking

Post Baking: After pre-heating, the coated panels or sheets undergo post baking at temperatures ranging from 150 to 250 degrees Celsius. Post baking further cures the epoxy coating, enhancing its durability, chemical resistance, and adhesion to the steel substrate.

Installation-process

Installation process - Once the panels are prepared, they are bolted together using hot-dipped galvanized high tensile nuts & bolts. These bolts are carefully selected for their strength and corrosion resistance, ensuring the longevity of the tank. An external N&B covers / caps are used to secure the bolted joints, providing additional protection against tampering and environmental factors. Water is stored inside the liner which is bolted with the wall sheets through flaps in it.
